An 11th grade student at Teutopolis High School will be competing in the world’s largest rodeo.
Brooke Haller earned a position on the Illinois National High School rodeo team on Saturday, when she won Miss Illinois High School Rodeo Queen in Springfield. Haller will travel to Gillette, Wyoming with her teammates on July 16th through the 22nd to compete in the 69th annual National High School Finals Rodeo (NHSFR) Queen competitions.
The National High School Finals Rodeo features more than 1,750 contestants from 43 states, Canadian provinces, and Australia. Contestants compete for over $200,000 in prizes and over $350,000 in college scholarships, as well as the opportunity to be an NHSFR World Champion. Each competition will be broadcast live on NHSRATV.com at 7:00pm on July 16th and 9:00am and 7:00pm every day following.
