The Ohio Valley Conference Board of Directors have approved a plan to move the OVC Baseball Championship to Oxford, Alabama for the next two years, beginning with the 2017 season. The first tournament will be held on May 24-28 at Choccolocco Park.
The tournament has been held at the Ballpark in Jackson in Jackson, Tennessee for the past seven years. Before that the tournament was played at Brooks Stadium in Paducah, Kentucky from 2001-2009.
Choccolocco Park is part of a 370-acre sports complex which includes baseball, soccer, softball, track & field, and cross country facilities. The first major event at the complex was the OVC Softball Championships held last May. The 2017 OVC Softball Championship will also be held at Choccolocco Park.
