The Cross Foundation and the The Cross at the Crossroads will Celebrate their 15th Anniversary from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, September 11th at the Cross Campus. The public is invited to attend the free event which will feature refreshments, courtesy of Martin’s IGA and Culver’s of Effingham, a prayer service led by Pastor Roger Marshall, and an update on future site plans for the Cross Campus. Some of the improvements that will be announced include life-sized statues depicting Jesus’ life, a walking path, and a band shell.
There will also be live music from Scott Wattles at 1:30 p.m. who will be singing gospel favorites while sharing stories about his walk in faith. The event will also feature a balloon release at 2:15 p.m. where participants will be allowed to release a balloon with a personal prayer or message in honor of a loved one.
Parking will be available at the Cross and Beck’s Seeds, but carpooling is encouraged. The event is free, but the Cross Foundation will be accepting donations. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.
