UPDATE: At 5:36 Wednesday morning at 1419 E. Fayette Avenue, a semi driven by 55 year old Kimberly S. Holt, of Cordyn, IN, pulled in front of a vehicle driven by 75 year old Barbara C. Cornell, of Teutopolis, causing a collision. As a result of the impact, Cornell’s vehicle left the roadway and overturned. The Effingham Fire Department responded to the crash and upon arrival fire crews reported that Cornell was pinned in her vehicle. Extrication took around 20 minutes and Cornell was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham for treatment.
Holt was ticketed for Failure to Yield.
