- 38 year old, Corey D Hatfill, of Beecher City was arrested by the Altamont Police Department for possession of Methamphetamine and possession of a hypodermic needle.
- 34 year old, Blane K Traxler, of Beecher City was arrested by the Altamont Police Department for possession of Methamphetamine and possession of a hypodermic needle.
- 24 year old, Jeffery L Durbin, of Beecher City was arrested by the Altamont Police Department for possession of Methamphetamine, possession of a hypodermic needle, and an Effingham County failure to appear warrant for possession of less than 5 grams of Methamphetamine.
- 22 year old, Michael R Clarkson, of Altamont was arrested by the Illinois State Police for possession of Methamphetamine and possession of hypodermic needle.
- 20 year old, Andrew J Norris, of Effingham was arrested by the Effingham Police Department on an Effingham County failure to appear warrant for violating an order of protection.
- 28 year old, William E Doedtman, of Effingham was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department for contempt of court on a failed drug test on the original charge of possession of Methamphetamine. Doedtman posted $1,000 and was released.
- 31 year old, Eric S Strange, of Effingham was arrested by Effingham County Sheriff’s Department for contempt of court for a failed drug test on the original charge of methamphetamine delivery. Strange posted $1,000 and was released.
- 32 year old, Daniel W Rhodes, of Chesterfield was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department on an Effingham County failure to appear warrant for speeding. Rhodes posted $275 and was released.
- 38 year old, Holly A Mesnard, of Edgewood was arrested by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department for domestic battery.

January 8, 2018
- At 6:00pm at 923 N Merchant, a vehicle driven by 39 year old, Jeffrey G Bunton, of Shumway left the roadway, struck, and damaged an Effingham City sign and culvert. No injuries were reported. Bunton was ticketed for improper lane usage.
January 11, 2018
- At 6:05pm at the intersection of Keller and Evergreen, a vehicle driven by 80 year old, Mary Shimboff, of Effingham turned in front of and was struck by a vehicle driven by 64 year old, Michael E Black, of Toldeo. No injuries or citations were reported.

December 12, 2017
- John L Schaufler Jr was arrested following a reported domestic disturbance at 217 E 2nd Street in Stewardson. Schaufler was taken to the Shelby County Jail.
December 17, 2017
- 20 year old, James W Diggs, of Herrick was arrested for battery following a reported altercation at 27 S Austin Avenue in Herrick. Diggs was taken to the Shelby County Jail.
January 11, 2018
- Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported burglary at the 200 block of E South Street in Moweaqua. After arriving, an individual matching the reported suspect’s description was located walking on Main Street. Following an investigation, 34 year old, Dustin L Nunamaker, of Assumption was arrested for burglary, possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, and possession of more than 7 grams of Methamphetamine. Nunamaker was taken to the Shelby County Jail.
All persons listed are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
