Effingham Ill. – Earlier today Effingham County Board, Jim Niemann, released a statement authorizing for all flags in Effingham County to fly at Half Staff to honor recently deceased County Coroner, Duane Guffey.
“After speaking with the Governor’s office regarding an order to fly flags at Half Staff, I will be authorizing Effingham County to fly them at Half Staff until the end of business on Friday in honor of Effingham County Coroner Duane Guffey, who passed away last week and will be laid to rest on Friday.”
Guffey passed away last week after an apparent heart attack.
