Effingham, Ill. – Earlier today an alleged threat was made towards Effingham Junior High School.
According to Effingham Community Schools this morning, “during school hours, EJHS administrators were made aware of an alleged threat of violence made by an EJHS student.”
“Immediately law enforcement, supported by EJHS administrators began to investigate.”
“During the investigation it was determined that the alleged threat was not credible.”
The Effingham Police Department was contacted for further comment however there was not an immediate response.
