Flora, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Clay County Hospital is happy to announce that Derek Storck, NP is one of our new additions to our group of providers.
Derek grew up in Farina, IL helping on the family farm.
He originally attended Southern Illinois University – Carbondale for civil engineering and worked for a couple of years in St. Louis for an engineering firm before switching to a career in sales.
After spending nearly 8 years traveling the midwest he decided to switch to a career in healthcare.
Derek graduated from SLU (Saint Louis University) and took a job in an ER in Lincoln, IL before moving to his wife Melissa’s hometown of Sterling Heights, MI.
Spending almost two years in Michigan, Derek seized the opportunity to move back to southern Illinois where much of his family still resides.
Derek and Melissa have a 2 year old son Drew.
Says Derek: “I always had the intention of practicing in a rural setting similar to the one I grew up in and am excited to be a part of the Clay County Clinic.”
Derek sees patients by appointment at our Flora clinic and also works at our walk in clinic at our Flora clinic location.
