MATTOON, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Five people were recently arrested by the Mattoon Police Department and East Central Illinois Drug Task Force.
On 10/04/2018 at 7:20pm, the Mattoon Police Department and the East Central Illinois Drug Task Force conducted a vehicle stop in the 1300 block of Lafayette in Mattoon, leading to the arrest of 24 year old Cody L. Endsley, 23 year old Jordan A. Smith, and 21 year old Chelsea J. Langenhorst, all of Mattoon.
Mr. Endsley and Ms. Smith were found to be in possession of Methamphetamine, and were both charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with intent to deliver.
Ms. Langenhorst had an active Coles County Warrant for failing to appear on a 2018 Armed Robbery charge.
Ms. Langenhorst was also charged with Resisting and Obstructing a Police Officer, after running from the motor vehicle during the time of the stop, and then resisting arrest after being apprehended.
Also arrested in conjunction with this incident were 30 year old John C. Morgan, and 29 year old Crystal E. Cobb, both of Mattoon.
Both were arrested at the Suite Dreams Hotel located at 300 Broadway Ave East in Mattoon.
This arrest occurred on 10/04/2018 at 10:29pm, while members of the Mattoon Police Department and the East Central Illinois Drug Task Force conducted a search warrant of Mr. Morgan and Ms. Cobb’s hotel room.
During the search of the room, over a pound of Methamphetamine and over $11,000 in cash were seized.
Mr. Morgan was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver.
Ms. Cobb was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.
All parties were taken to the Coles County Jail.
