MATTOON, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The following has been released by the Mattoon Police Department:
January 15, 2019
- Mattoon Police arrested Nicholas J. Bennett, 22 years of age of Mattoon, for the offense of Producing Child Pornography. The arrest occurred on 01/15/2019 at 10:00am at the Coles County Jail. The charge alleges that during the first week of January, 2019, Mr. Bennett used a cellular device to take a lewd photograph of a 4 year old juvenile female. Mr. Bennett was arrested for this offense, and was left at the Coles County Jail.
