The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for North central Moultrie County, Southern Piatt County, and East central Macon County until 9:00PM.
At 8:21PM, a severe thunderstorm was located near Cerro Gordo, or near Decatur, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include Decatur, Bement, Cerro Gordo, Long Creek, Lovington, Oreana, Hammond, Oakley, Milmine, La Place, Lake City and Decatur Airport.
This includes Interstate 72 between mile markers 146 and 149.
