Springfield, IL -(Effingham Radio)- U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spoke at a brunch for the Democratic County Chairs’ Association in Springfield on Wednesday.
Pelosi spoke of the Democratic victories in the state in 2018, including gaining two Congressional seats, and pleaded for the momentum to continue into 2020.
She criticized Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and pointed out Democratic initiatives that have been passed in the House have the support of the public, even if they’re being blocked by the Senate’s Republican majority.
