Springfield, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Governor J.B. Pritzker’s office is announcing the creation of a broadband internet advisory group.
The 25-member council will help determine how to use the 420-million dollars for broadband infrastructure included in the state’s new capital plan.
The group, which includes industry representatives, legislators and Pritzker cabinet members, will focus on education, telehealth and economic development.
A comprehensive plan is expected by the end of the year.
