Springfield, IL -(Effingham Radio)- The Illinois Supreme Court is deciding whether Firearm Owner Identification Cards are constitutional.
Two cases heard by the Illinois Supreme Court this fall are considering whether a person should be required to have a FOID card to possess a gun in the state.
Some say the card violates the Second Amendment.
Others say the FOID card helps limit the number of people who shouldn’t have a gun from possessing a firearm.
A ruling on either of the two cases is expected at any time.
