Champaign, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Jimmy John’s is removing sprouts after being accused of selling contaminated food.
The FDA sent the sandwich chain a warning letter saying it used vegetables linked to e-coli and salmonella over the last eight years. At least 22 people in Iowa got sick and half had eaten sprouts.
Other cases are reported in Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
