Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Green Thumb Industries’ Rise Effingham (formerly known as The Clinic) is now open in Effingham for the sale of recreational cannabis, with the grand opening hours for this weekend being 8am-8pm both Saturday & Sunday.
The regular hours starting next week will be Monday through Saturday 9am-7pm, and Sunday 9am-6pm. Potential customers are reminded that the product is to be sealed in a seal-able container and must remained sealed until you get home.
Rise Effingham will remain in the same location as The Clinic, 1011 Ford Avenue, Suite C.

Do NOT consume cannabis in public.
- All medicinal Cannabis must be consumed in a private residence and out of public view.
Do NOT share your medical cannabis.
- Patients may not distribute Cannabis to other individuals under any circumstance.
Do NOT drive or operate machinery while medicated.
- Due to the psychoactive effect of Cannabis Treatment, patients should not drive or operate heavy machinery while under the influence of medication.
Do NOT transport cannabis once container is opened.
- Traveling over state boarders with medication is not only dangerous but federally illegal. Once you break your tamper proof seal all cannabis medication should remain at your private residence.
Do NOT consume cannabis with alcohol.
- Cannabis increases the intensity of alcohol intoxication. We do not advise mixing the two.
Do NOT travel with Cannabis paraphernalia.
- Traveling with paraphernalia that has come in contact with cannabis product is prohibited.
DO store cannabis in a safe place.
- Keep medication in a tamper proof container away from pets and children.
DO keep Cannabis out of reach in your motor vehicle.
- Cannabis should be stored in the trunk or locked glove box during transport.
DO ask your physician before using Cannabis with other medication.
- While reactions with prescription medications are extremely rare please consult your physician before adding Cannabis to your existing regimen.
DO renew your patient card before it expires.
- Illinois Medical Cannabis patients should start the renewal process at least 45 days before the expiration date on their card.
