Springfield, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Illinois’ governor is taking the state’s response to the coronavirus up a notch.
Governor JB Pritzker yesterday issued a disaster declaration because of the virus.
The move came as doctors confirmed four more cases of the coronavirus yesterday.
Pritzker says the disaster declaration will allow Illinois to ask for federal help in paying for its coronavirus response, and is the first step toward possibly calling out the Illinois National Guard to respond.
