State Offering Childcare Aid To Essential Workers

Springfield, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker says the state is set to begin offering aid for childcare to essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The effort started April 1st and allows essential workers in health care, human services, essential government services, and essential infrastructure to qualify for the state’s Child Care Assistance Program.

Through the program, the state will cover a majority of the cost of care provided by emergency child care centers and homes.
