Springfield, IL -(Vandalia Radio)- The Illinois Department of Public Health reports that Illinois now has 33,059 confirmed cases of coronavirus after an additional 1,551 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. There have also been an additional 119 COVID-19 related deaths reported since Monday as well as the state’s overall death total is now 1,468.
The number of counties in the state not reporting any cases of COVID-19 continues to shrink as Hardin County has reported its first case as there are now just 6 counties reporting no cases.
Fayette County has remained unchanged again today at 15 confirmed cases in the county with 112 tests having been performed in the county. Effingham County is reporting an additional case as they are now at 5 confirmed cases. Both Bond County and Shelby County remain unchanged at 4 cases each. Marion County reports an additional 5 cases to now stand at 25 confirmed cases while Montgomery County reports one additional case to move to 17 total cases.
