The Illinois Basketball Coaches Association has announced the coaches of the year. This includes college, high school, and junior high.
Local coaches to make the list include:
Jon Niebrugge (Altamont HS Boys), Cody Rincker (St. Anthony HS Boys), John Webber (Marshall HS Boys), Tom Brannon (Casey-Westfield HS Boys), and Neil Alexander (Lincoln HS Boys).
Katie Lurkins (Altamont HS Girls), Laurie Thompson (Teutopolis HS Girls), Joe Morrisey (Tri-County HS Girls), and Amanda Aydt (Mattoon HS Girls).
Doug Smith (Teutopolis JH Boys) and Jason Ludwig (St. Anthony JH Boys)
Jordan Pals (Teutopolis JH Girls) and Kelly Brookman (Robinson JH Girls)
David Johnson (Lake Land College JC Girls).
