SIHF AND SARAH BUSH BEGIN COVID-19 TEST COLLECTION IN EFFINGHAM
Two drive-through testing sites are now available in Effingham. SIHF Healthcare’s site is in the rear of HSHS St. Anthony’s Health Center Building A, 900 West Temple Avenue, with the entrance off of Medical Park Drive. Screening phone lines are open Monday through Friday 8:30 am – 4:00 pm at 618-646-2596. The screening involves questions about symptoms, possible exposure, age, work environment and underlying health conditions. If determined to meet the testing requirements as prescribed by IDPH and CDC, the caller will be given a time window to arrive at the test collection site. Results should be available in approximately 48 hours. If the patient has insurance, that information will be gathered during the phone call. Those without insurance will be referred for information on getting coverage. However, there will be no charge to patients for testing.
Sarah Bush Lincoln ‘s drive-thru testing for non-symptomatic individuals in Effingham County will be at the SBL Bonutti Clinic, Effingham from noon to 6 pm on Friday, May 22. Those interested in being tested will first call 217 258-7490 to pre-register. Participants can arrive any time during the day. The cost of the test is $95 and there is no out-of-pocket expenses. The participant’s health insurance or the CARES Act will be billed for the service. The staff is taking pre-registration calls from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
