Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Former President Obama is one of many paying tribute to Chadwick Boseman a day after the actor died.
Bozeman died of colon cancer on Friday at age 43. Obama tweeted “You could tell right away he was blessed,” and “to be young, gifted and Black, to use that power to give them heroes to luck up to, do it all while in pain — what a use of his years.”
Vice Presidential nominee Kamala Harris wrote that her fellow Howard University alum was “Brilliant, kind, learned, and humble.”
South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster ordrered all flags at the statehouse to fly at half-staff Sunday in memory of the actor.
“Avengers” co-star Scarlett Johansson said in a statement that Boseman was a “Kind, thoughtful, funny and gentle person,” as well as a “deeply soulful and powerful actor.”
