Mattoon, IL -(Effingham Radio)- The following information comes from the Mattoon Police Department:
Mattoon Police arrested William C. Bowles, 37 years of age of Mattoon, for the offenses of Theft and Criminal Trespass to Property.
The arrest occurred on 10/31/2020 at 9:26am in the 1400 block of Broadway in Mattoon. The charges allege that on 10/31/2020 while at CVS located at 1316 Charleston Ave in Mattoon, Mr. Bowles stole merchandise from the store. The charge was elevated to a felony due to prior theft convictions, and Mr. Bowles was charged with trespass due to previously having been banned from CVS. Mr. Bowles was taken to the Coles County Jail.

Mattoon Police arrested Melissa K Griffin, 50 years of age, and Andre F. Griffin Sr., 56 years of age, both of Mattoon, and both for the charge of Domestic Battery.
The arrest of both occurred on 10/31/2020 at approximately 11:20pm in the 700 block of Broadway Ave in Mattoon. The charge alleges that on 10/31/2020 while in the 700 block of Broadway Ave, Melissa and Andre Griffin became engaged in a domestic dispute, which led to each one physically striking the other. Both subjects were taken to the Coles County Jail.

Mattoon Police arrested Leonard C. Stafford Jr., 45 years of age of Mattoon, for the offenses of False Impersonation of a Police Officer and Possession of Methamphetamine.
The arrest occurred on 11/4/2020 at 11:30pm in the 600 block of Charleston Ave in Mattoon. The charges allege that on 11/4/2020, Mr. Stafford approached a residence in the 100 block of Woodlawn Ave, banged on the door while shining a flashlight into the windows, and while yelling to open the door and that he was the FBI. A juvenile female was home at the time, who was able to identify the subject banging on her door as Mr. Stafford from the same neighborhood, at which point she called for assistance. Mr. Stafford left the residence prior to police arrival, but was later located walking in the 600 block of Charleston Ave, at which time he was arrested, and was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine. Mr. Stafford was taken to the Coles County Jail.

Mattoon Police arrested Jamie N. Ferrell, 39 years of age of Mattoon, for the offense of Criminal Damage to Property.
The arrest occurred on 11/5/2020 at 8:29pm at 4134 US HWY 45 in Mattoon. The charge alleges that on 11/5/2020 while being a guest at the Motel 6 located at 4134 US HWY 45 in Mattoon, Ms. Ferrell became intoxicated and destroyed the room and multiple items within. Ms. Ferrell was taken to the Coles County Jail.

Mattoon Police arrested Cody J. Dallas, 36 years of age of Tuscola, IL, for the offenses of Possession of Methamphetamine and Driving while License Revoked.
The arrest occurred on 11/6/2020 at 1:19am in the 1300 block of Moultrie in Mattoon. The charges allege that on 11/6/2020 while operating a vehicle in the 1300 block of Moultrie Ave in Mattoon, Mr. Dallas was stopped by police for traffic violations. During the traffic stop, Mr. Dallas was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Mr. Dallas also had a revoked drivers license. Mr. Dallas was taken to the Coles County Jail.
