Centralia, IL -(Effingham Radio)- State Senator Jason Plummer (R-Edwardsville) is hosting a free vaccine opportunity for those interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccination. On Saturday, June 19, he will be partnering together with the Murray Parents Association to host the first of two vaccine clinics in Centralia.
“The goal of this event is to ensure those who want to receive the vaccine have adequate access and availability,” said Sen. Plummer. “For those who want to make the personal choice to receive the vaccine, I encourage you to make an appointment.”
The Illinois Department of Public Health will be offering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, which is administered as a two-dose series, 3 weeks apart. This means that those who choose to take advantage of the June 19 clinic will need to be available to attend the same clinic on July 10.
