Effingham County Jail
- Illinois State Police arrested 21-year-old Marcus W. Pocrnich of Effingham. Pocrnich was arrested on charges of attempted 2nd Degree murder, aggrivated battery, criminal damage of government property under $500, resisting/obstructing a police officer causing injury, loud muffler, squealing tire driving with a suspended license. Secondary charges are personal injury or death, disobeying a police officer, operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm. Pocrnich is still in custody at the Effingham County Jail.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 43-year-old Mathew A. Morrison of St. Elmo. Morrison was arrested on charges of driving with a revoked license and a Effingham County warrant for domestic battery. Morrison was given a notice to appear and posted the $750 bail.
- Illinois State Police arrested 30-year-old Darrell L. Ford of Clarksdale, Mississippi. Ford was arrested on charges of Indiana Department of Corrections warrant, driving without a license and speeding. Ford is still in custody at the Effingham County Jail.
- Altamont Police Department arrested 38-year-old Joel A. Dennis of Moline. Dennis was arrested on charges of endangering the life of a child and possession of meth under 5 grams. Dennis was given a notice to appear.
- Altamont Police Department arrested 35-year-old Taylor D. Berg of Moline. Berg was arrested on charges of endangering the life of a child and possession of meth under 5 grams. Berg was given a notice to appear.
- Effingham Police Department arrested 40-year-old Anthony W. Rogers of Chalmers, Indiana. Rogers was arrested on a failure to appear warrant in Vermillion County, Illinois. Rogers was able to post the $495 bail.

June 22, 2021
-At 11:17 A.M. west of the intersection of 3rd and Fayette a semi driven by Matthew D. Lightcap, 45, New Baden, sideswiped a vehicle driven by Thomas J. Bauserman, 44, Teutopolis. No injuries and no citations.
ALL INDIVIDUALS LISTED AS ARRESTED OR ISSUED A CITATION ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW
