Effingham County Jail
- Effingham Police Department arrested 35-year old Antonio A. Hammond of Chicago. Hammond was arrested on a Chicago PD warrant for a failure to appear on charges of criminal property damage $500-10K. Hammond is still in custody.
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 42-year old Richard A. Heil of Alton. Heil was arrested for a failure to appear on a warrant of possession of a controlled substance. Heil is still in custody at the Effingham County Jail.

- At 7:53 AM at the intersection of S. Banker and W. Wabash a vehicle driven by Irene A. Correll, 75, Newton, struck a vehicle driven by Marty R. Jansen, 45, Effingham. Correll sustained injury and was transported to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital. Correll was ticketed for Failure to Yield Turning Left.
