Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham County Sheriff‘s Office has elected to participate in a No Shave November cancer awareness fundraiser this year.
Through the month of November, Sheriff‘s Office personnel who pledge to donate $40.00, or $10.00 a week, will be excused from shaving. If you see a Uniformed Effingham County Deputy in need of a shave, offer to also donate to our cause. We encourage the public to participate with us. You can give your donation to any uniformed Effingham County Deputy or bring it to the Sheriff‘s Office and ask that the money be directed to Lieutenant Buhnerkempe.
All of the money collected will be donated to Fear Nothing Cancer Support. They are a non–profit organization that provides fifty to seventy–five thousand dollars a year to local people battling cancer in Effingham, Cumberland, Shelby, Jasper, Clay and Fayette counties.
The Effingham County Sheriff‘s Office is proud to partner with and support Fear Nothing and we thank Jodi Waymoth for her hard work and dedication to this cause.
