Effingham County Jail
- Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 36-year-old Trenton A Niemeyer of Teutopolis. Niemeyer was arrested on charges of criminal damage to government supported property and a motion to increase bond. Niemeyer posted $500 and was released.
- Effingham Police Department arrested 23-year-old Anthony A Brown of Effingham. Brown was arrested on a Effingham County failure to appear warrant for driving with a suspended license and a Fayette County failure to appear warrant for possession of meth less than five grams. Brown was given a notice to appear and transported to Fayette County.
- Effingham Police Department arrested 19-year-old Vayda L Gabel of Watson. Gabel was arrested on charges of unlawful use of a weapon, possession of meth between 5-15 grams, delivery of meth 5-15 grams, possession of a hypodermic needle, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a look alike substance and operating a uninsured motor vehicle. Gabel is still in custody.

- At 3:32 P.M. at the intersection of Fayette and Walnut a vehicle driven by Dillon M. Tedrick, 25, Effingham, pulled into the path of and was struck by a vehicle driven by Cathy L. Emerick, 63, Altamont. No injuries and no citations.

- At 1:54 P.M. at the intersection of Keller and Evergreen a vehicle driven by Chad A. McKee, 24, Decatur, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Danielle N. Wesselman, 31, Effingham. No injuries and no citations.
November 2, 2021
- At 12:18 P.M. at the intersection of Fayette and Mulberry a vehicle driven by Mark A. Durbin, 54, St. Elmo, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Nicholas B. Anderson, 24, Lincoln. No injuries and no citations.
