On Thursday Night the Altamont Lady Indians picked up win number two of the season 61-30 over Windsor / Stew-Stras.
Altamont used a combination of 16 points from Grace Nelson and Peyton Osteen and 10 W/SS turnovers in the first quarter to take a 16-5 lead after one quarter. The Hatchets did cut down on some of the turnovers in the second quarters but Altamont would actually increase their lead by four points at halftime 26-11.
Altamont would pull away in the third quarter with more Hatchets turnovers and cruise to the victory in the 4th quarter to win their second game and also their NTC opener 61-30.
Altamont improves to 2-0 and 1-0 in the NTC
W/SS falls to 0-2 and 0-1 in the NTC
Other “Sparks” Notes
- Lady Indians defense was on point forcing many turnovers and good rotations onto the ball handler
- I don’t know what was colder the falling temperatures outside or the shooting in the gym both teams shot 28 % from the field
- It wasn’t for lack of good looks though both teams had good looks the shot just were not falling
- Nelson and Osteen scored 85 percent of the team points
- Nelson scored 14 of her 37 during that third quarter run
