Mattoon, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The following information is being released by the Mattoon Police Department:
Mattoon Police arrested Noah D.E. Hunt, 20 years of age and homeless in Mattoon, for the offense of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse.
The arrest occurred on 12/15/21 at 4:55pm at Mattoon PD. The charge alleges that in early December 2021, while in the 1800 block of Western Ave in Mattoon, Mr. Hunt inappropriately touched an adolescent female in a sexual manner. Mr. Hunt was sent to the Coles County Safety and Detention Center.

Mattoon Police arrested Michael T. Solis, 23 years of age of Windsor, IL, for the offense of Possession of Methamphetamine and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
The arrest occurred on 12/21/21 at 10:58am in the 1300 block of Charleston Ave in Mattoon. The charge alleges that on 12/21/21 while in the 1300 block of Charleston Ave, and during a traffic stop, police found Mr. Solis to be in possession of methamphetamine and a loaded 9mm handgun. Mr. Solis was taken to the Coles County Safety and Detention Center.

Mattoon Police arrested Steven F. Sims, 51 years of age of Windsor, IL, for the offense of Possession of Methamphetamine.
The arrest occurred on 12/21/21 at 2:04pm in the 3500 block of Walnut Ave in Mattoon. The charge alleges that on 12/21/21, Mattoon PD served a search warrant on Mr. Sims residence with the assistance of the Coles County Crisis Response Team and the East Central Illinois Drug Task Force. During the search of the residence, Mr. Sims was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Mr. Sims also had an active Coles County Warrant for failing to appear for a 2019 Possession of Narcotic Equipment case. Mr. Sims was taken to the Coles County Jail.

Mattoon Police arrested Richard K. Laue, 35 years of age of Mattoon, for the offenses of Possession of a Firearm with a Revoked FOID, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Unlawful use of a Weapon.
The arrest occurred on 12/23/21 at 7:38am in the 2200 block of Commercial Ave in Mattoon. The charges allege that on 12/23/21, while performing a search for a missing person, police located methamphetamine within the residence of Mr. Laue. Police then subsequently obtained a search warrant for the residence, and located a 9mm handgun, ammunition, and brass knuckles. Mr. Laue’s FOID status was revoked at this time. Mr. Laue was taken to the Coles County Jail.

Mattoon Police arrested Stephen J. Hayden, 25 years of age of Bellwood, IL, for the offense of Criminal Trespass to State Supported Property.
The arrest occurred on 12/23/21 at 11:37pm at the AMTRAK station located at 1718 Broadway Ave in Mattoon. The charge alleges that on 12/23/21 while at the AMTRAK station, Mr. Hayden was asked to exit the AMTRAK train by AMTRAK employees when he refused to do so. Mr. Hayden was arrested, issued a court date, and was released.

Mattoon Police arrested Lindsey A. Spencer, 39 years of age of Newman, IL, for the offense of Theft.
The arrest occurred on 12/24/21 at 1:36pm at 101 Dettro Drive in Mattoon. The charge alleges that on 12/24/21 while at Walmart in Mattoon, Ms. Spencer removed items from Walmart without purchasing them. Ms. Spencer was arrested, issued a court date, and was released.

Mattoon Police arrested Heather D. Allen, 43 years of age of Effingham, IL, for the offense of Theft.
The arrest occurred on 12/24/21 at 5:33pm at 101 Dettro Drive in Mattoon. The charge alleges that on 12/24/21 while at Walmart in Mattoon, Ms. Allen removed items from Walmart without purchasing them. Ms. Allen was arrested, issued a court date, and was released.

Mattoon Police arrested Kevin L. Smith, 50 years of age of Mattoon, for an active Coles County Warrant for failing to appear for a 2021 Driving While License Revoked case, as well as for a new offense of Possession of Methamphetamine.
The arrest occurred on 12/26/21 at 12:43am in the 600 block of N. 11th Street in Mattoon. The charge alleges that on 12/26/21 while in the 600 block of N. 11th Street, police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle Mr. Smith was operating, and at that time found Mr. Smith to be wanted for the Coles County warrant, and also found him to be in possession of methamphetamine. Mr. Smith was taken to the Coles County Safety and Detention Center.

Mattoon Police arrested Vincent F. Robinson, 41 years of age of Mattoon, for the offenses of Domestic Battery and Criminal Damage to Property.
The arrest occurred on 12/26/21 at 1:42am in the 800 block of East Rudy in Mattoon. The charge alleges that on 12/25/21 while in the 800 block of East Rudy, and during a domestic dispute, Mr Robinson struck a female subject in the face, and busted out her car window. Mr. Robinson was not located until the next day of 12/26/21, at which time he was arrested and taken to the Coles County Jail.

Mattoon Police arrested Zachery P. Platteborze, 24 years of age of Mattoon, for the offense of Violation of Bond Conditions.
The arrest occurred on 12/26/21 at 5:41am in the 400 block of N. 22nd Street in Mattoon. The charge alleges that on 12/26/21 while in the 400 block of N. 22nd Street, police responded with EMS to a medical call, and located Mr. Platteborze was in the presence of a female subject he had been court ordered to stay away from. Mr. Platteborze was also arrested on an active Effingham County warrant for failing to appear for a 2020 Assault and Battery case. Mr. Platteborze was taken to the Coles County Jail.
