Jim Jones was trending on social media on Thursday (January 6th) after a clip from his interview on Angela Yee's Lip Service podcast went viral.
While Jim was discussing the closeness of his relationship with his mother, Nancy “Mama Jones” Jones, the rapper revealed that his mom showed him how to tongue kiss.
He said, “My mom taught me how to kiss when I was younger.” Yee then asked, “What was the instructions?” Jim replied, “There wasn’t no instructions, she showed me with her mouth.” He added, “It’s my mother, what do you mean?”
Jim Jones went on to explain that his mother had him at 17 years old, so the closeness of their relationship isn't abnormal.
Jim caught major backlash with people saying he should have kept that information to himself and that he was a victim of sexual abuse, but was unaware.
He later went on Instagram to address the criticism and said, “For the record, I love my mama more than anything in the world. And for the record, it was a joke. People take things way too far. It don't bother us anyway, but let's get it clear…That's weak what you're trying to project.”
He continued, “Something simple. Something from my childhood. We were talking about childhood things. I thought that was funny. I appreciate you mommy for helping me out, but no. Cut it short, Jack. Cut the bullsh*t, you heard?”
