Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- For Women’s History month, the Cromwell News Team held a phone interview with Erika, a special agent of the FBI Springfield Division. She asked to omit her last name to help keep her anonymity due to the sensitive nature of her job. Questions were asked about her background, what convinced her to pursue a career in the FBI, and any challenges she faced along the way.
Question 1: What was your background prior to the FBI? Did it translate well to your FBI job?
Question 2: What type of cases do you cover?
Question 3: Why did you decide to become a special agent for the FBI?
Question 4: I heard about some special agent training at Quantico. Could you explain that?
Question 5: What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Question 6: Have you experienced any challenges getting to where you are now in the FBI?
Question 7: What advice would you have for women interested in an FBI job?
