Out today (April 8th) is Sting's latest single, “Por Su Amor,” a Spanish version of “For Her Love” from his latest album, The Bridge. The song, which teams the Police co-founder with Latin Grammy Award nominee Kurt, features lyric translations from none other than Sting's manager-producer Martin Kierszenbaum. A new video for the song will premiere later today.
We caught up with Sting who told us he's thrilled with how the duet with Kurt turned out. He admitted he's always jumped at the chance to collaborate: “I think there's always something to learn from another artist. Y'know, sharing time with another artist, sharing a microphone, sharing a song — you learn something, I mean, it's hard to articulate what that is, but, y'know, I'm a student of music, I'm a student of life, so working with other people gets me out of my bubble, if you like, my safe, little bubble, and y'know, I'm there to learn something.”
Sting performs on Saturday (April 9th) Caen, France at Zenith Caen.
His next North American date is set for May 4th in Ottawa, Ontario at the Canadian Tire Centre.
