SHELBYVILLE, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Shelby County State’s Attorney’s Office has released the following on their Facebook page:
“Shelby County State’s Attorney Nichole Kroncke announced that on April 27, 2022, Dalton C. Elder, age 32, of Sullivan, Illinois, was sentenced to two (2) years in prison for the offense of Failure to Comply With Electronic Monitoring, a Class 3 Felony with a sentencing range of 2-5 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Elder was ordered by the court to wear an electronic monitoring device. He violated conditions of the electronic monitoring program by knowingly failing to keep the device charged, rendering it inoperable. Elder’s noncompliance was discovered and reported by the Shelby County Probation Department.
Elder has pending cases in Moultrie County for the offenses of Domestic Battery and Possession of 15 < 100 grams of Methamphetamine. The two (2) year prison sentence will be served consecutively to any disposition on the Moultrie County cases.”
