Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham City Council met for their regularly scheduled meeting at 5pm today.
The City Council approved all the omnibus vote agenda all together and moved on to the Employee of the Quarter for the City. Alyssa Robinson was recognized for her dedicated service to the city.
The City Council then passed numerous ordinances/resolutions:
- Ordinance Redeclaring Certain Real Property and Improvements Thereon as Being Dangerous and Unsafe (1606 S. Fourth Street, Effingham) – Passed
- Ordinance Amending the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Effingham – Mary Kathleen Bonutti and John Poterucha, Daniel S. and Julie L. Wortman, Rick L. and Leslie Endebrock, Amy G. Mathis – R-2 Single-Family Residence District to B-1 Neighborhood Shopping District – 801, 805, 807 and 809 N. Keller Drive – Approved
- Ordinance Amending the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Effingham – The Kabbes Development Group, A Limited Partnership – R-3D Multiple-Dwelling District and B-5 Highway Commercial District to R-2 Single-Family Residence District – End of Oak Pointe Drive – Passed
- Resolution Authorizing Acceptance of Quote from IMCO for Materials for Water Main Relocation – US 45/Fitzpatrick Way – Adopted
- Resolution Authorizing Execution of Letter of Intent for Jurisdictional Transfer – F.A.S. Route 1725 (Frontage Road) – Adopted
- Resolution Authorizing Economic Support to the Effingham Regional Growth Alliance for an Economic Impact Study – Adopted
- Resolution Authorizing Execution of Agreement with Farnsworth Group, Inc. for Electronic Files Transfer – 2021 Industrial TIF Drainage Study – Adopted
- Resolution Authorizing First Amendment to Contract for Private Development Pursuant to the Effingham, Illinois Plan for the Tax Increment Finance Area No. 1 (EBS Development, LLC) – Adopted
- Resolution Authorizing Execution of Inter-Governmental Grant Agreement with the State of Illinois, Department of Transportation – Thies Avenue Extension/Airport Road – Adopted
- Resolution Extending Bond for the Completion of Improvements in Prairie Aces Estates, Plat No. 744 – F – Adopted
The Council then heard and discussed:
- Ordinance Authorizing Purchase of Certificate of Dedication of Right of Way for Public Street and Utility Purposes – Heritage Avenue Extension – Saint Anthony Memorial Hospital, of the Hospital Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis
- Resolution Authorizing Execution of Agreement for Engineering Services with Milano & Grunloh Engineers, LLC – Heritage Avenue Extension
- Resolution Authorizing Execution of an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Effingham County Emergency Telephone System Board
