Marshall, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Marshall Lions football players recently “gave back” to the community by helping install a temporary floor at Marshall Public Library.
The Library needed help with repairs in preparation for the upcoming Marshall Walking Tour (June 17th) to be held each Friday at 7:00 PM through July 29th during the Farmer’s Market.
The library’s second level floor was unsafe to walk on and when coach Boyll heard the library could use some workers for heavy lifting he said: “we’ve been looking for an opportunity to help out in the community and with the heavy lifting required we were the perfect help”.
The flooring for the project was donated by Quality Lime Company and donuts for the team were donated by Casey’s General Store.
The library is located at 612 Archer Avenue, in Marshall, Illinois, and is handicap accessible.
