Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The summer heat will remain for the week and the weekend, with heat indices for Saturday reaching as high as 110 degrees.
Fair weather is expected across central Illinois today and Friday with high temps right around 90 degrees. There will be occasional chances for storms Friday night through the weekend. Very hot and humid conditions will result in heat indices in the triple digits Saturday.
Storms are expected to form over portions of Iowa Friday evening and there is a chance these thunderstorms could move into portions of central Illinois Friday night. If storms are able to reach central Illinois, damaging winds and large hail will be possible.
