EFFINGHAM COUNTY JAIL

August 2, 2022

• Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 32 year old Elizabeth M. Russell of Effingham for an Effingham County FTA warrant for probation fees. Elizabeth posted $300 and was released.
• Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 34 year old Molly J. Brummer of Effingham for an Effingham County problem solving court warrant for failure to abide by terms and conditions. Molly was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
• Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 52 year old Trent A. Wilson of Effingham for a Coles County FTA warrant for possession of meth. Trent was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
• Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 42 year old Joshua S. Koonce of Wheeler for an Effingham County attachment for contempt and a Jasper County FTA warrant for violation of order of protection. Joshua was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
• Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 31 year old David G. Perkins of Vandalia for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. David was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
• Effingham City Police arrested 38 year old Michael R. Colman of Altamont for driving while license revoked. Michael posted $250 and was released.
• Effingham City Police arrested 53 year old Libby K. Norris of Effingham for domestic battery. Libby was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
• Effingham City Police arrested 58 year old Renee L. Breedlove of Effingham for domestic battery. Renee was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
• Altamont Police Department arrested 28 year old Katlynn M. Rhodes of Altamont for a Fayette County FTA warrant for theft $500-10k. Katlynn posted $175 and was released.

CRASHES

July 29, 2022 

• At 10:31 A.M. at the intersection of Keller and Ave of Mid America a vehicle driven by Mark A. Earnest, 48, Newton, sideswiped a vehicle driven by Andria R. Verdeyen, 40, Effingham. A third vehicle driven by Paul K. Kibler, 63, Newton, was also struck during the incident. No injuries and no citations. 
• At 1:18 P.M. at the intersection of 3rd and the SB I-57/WB I-70 exit ramp a vehicle driven by Shastine L. McClendon, 36, Effingham, struck a vehicle driven by Joyce K. Bateman, 71, Effingham. No injuries and no citations. 
• At 1:45 P.M. at the intersection of Ford and Keller a vehicle driven by Jack D. Blickem, 19, Effingham, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Howard B. Stuemke, 66, Effingham. No injuries and no citations. 
• At 4:38 P.M. at the intersection of Grove and 3rd a vehicle driven by Leonard W. Waldhoff, 79, Effingham, struck a vehicle driven by Bianca C. Al Wali, 25, Effingham. No injuries and no citations.
