Springfield, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Illinois gubernatorial candidates have different perspectives of the criminal investigation and raid on former President Donald Trump’s home. Trump this week filed a motion for the courts to appoint a special master to review the documents the FBI seized in the case.
After initial reports that classified documents were included, incumbent Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker criticized Republicans.
Republican state Sen. Darren Bailey, the GOP gubernatorial candidate who got Trump’s endorsement, saw the Trump raid as a bad sign.
The two face off in the Nov. 8 election. Early voting begins on Sept. 29.
