Centralia Police Respond To Shooting At South Maple In Centralia

On 11/6/22 at 21:34pm, Centralia Dispatch received multiple 911 calls for shots fired in the 500 block of South Maple. While in route to the call, Centralia Dispatch received a report that a female subject had been shot.

Patrol officers arrived on scene and immediately checked the status of the female. Patrol officers reported they observed a female with a gunshot wound to her upper back by her right shoulder blade. Patrol officers requested Centralia Fire and EMS to respond to the scene. Patrol officers attempted to speak to another individual in the residence, but that subject was uncooperative. Patrol officers located several spent shell casings in the roadway. Centralia Police Investigations Unit along with the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigations was contacted.

The Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigations Unit arrived on scene and processed the crime scene. The Centralia Police Investigators also arrived on scene.
