Neoga Days Director Addresses Comments on Carnival

Neoga, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The following was released by the Neoga Days Facebook Page:

I know that there has been a lot of conversations and suggestions about carnivals at Neoga Days, so I feel like it needs to be addressed. At the end of 2022, the carnival we had let us know they were retiring. At that time I called every carnival in Illinois, Missouri and Indiana that I could get contact info for. Most are booked the entire season. We offered to move dates, but our community is too small for the large carnivals to come to town and the small carnivals went out off business with Covid. I promise you that I put ever effort possible into finding the best options for our event. Next year we are looking into having the kiddie tractor pull, petting zoo and anything else we can obtain. We will continue to have 25/8 Extreme provide our “rides”. I hope this helps answer some questions. If you still would like more information, please come to a committee meeting.
