EFFINGHAM COUNTY JAIL

• Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33 year old Jacob Shelton of Mason for an Effingham County mittimus to jail sentenced to 30 days for possession of <5g of meth. Jacob was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
• Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 44 year old Stephanie Mercer of Effingham for possession of 15-100g of meth, intent to deliver/delivery of meth, armed violence, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Stephanie was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
• Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 44 year old Jeffery Koester of Watson for an Effingham County mittimus to DOC for failure to register as a sex offender. Jeffery was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
• Effingham City Police arrested 61 year old Steven Balcer of Effingham for DUI, operating an uninsured vehicle, and failure to yield/stop at an intersection. Steven posted bond and valid Driver’s License.
• Effingham County Sheriff’s Office arrested 51 year old John Gasper of Oswego, IL for a Grundy County FTA warrant for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, resisting, possession of a hypodermic syringe, and possession of drug paraphernalia. John was taken to the Effingham County Jail.
