Senator Plummer Hosting Summer Reading Programs

Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- State Senator Jason Plummer (R-Edwardsville) is hosting two programs to encourage reading throughout the remainder of the summer. His Summer Reading Club program encourages kids from the 55^th Senate District, who are in 1^st -12^th grades, to read 8 books by the end of the summer. Those who complete the challenge will receive an official certificate of recognition from the Illinois Senate.

Plummer’s Senior Summer Reading Club similarly encourages senior citizens from the 55^th District to complete 8 books, with those who are successful also receiving an official certificate.
