Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Sacred Heart School student council has some fun activities planned for RED RIBBON WEEK (October 23-30, 2023). This year’s theme is “Be kind to your mind, be drug-free”.
Monday, October 23 – Follow Your Dreams, Don’t Do Drugs
– Students may wear school-appropriate sweatpants and t-shirts.
Tuesday, October 24 – Life is a Work of Art: Color it Drug-Free
– Students will participate in a coloring contest.
Wednesday, October 25 – Snacks are Great, Drugs we Hate
– Students may bring in a small snack to eat while reading silently
Thursday, October 26 – Hide from Drugs, They are Scary
– Students may wear school-appropriate camo attire if they bring in something to help
wrap gifts for the PTA Christmas Store (wrapping paper, tape, labels, bows, etc.)
Friday, October 27 – NO SCHOOL
Monday, October 30 – We are ‘Kenough’, We Don’t Need Drugs
– Barbie vs. Ken – Students may wear school-appropriate clothes to dress like Barbie or Ken.
