It’s time to make some holiday memories with our all-NEW Holiday Lights + Festive Sights Scavenger Hunt!
All you need is our map of nominees and our free scavenger hunt printable (see below)… and just maybe some hot chocolate from our friends at Ginger Ale’s Effingham! Load up the whole crew, turn on your favorite holiday hits and enjoy this beloved community tradition.

Find 15 out of the 22 items on our list, check them off and turn the list in to the Visit Effingham Office at 201 E. Jefferson Avenue for a chance to win a family-friendly holiday gift basket!
If you’d like to extend the fun, drive through our Wonderland in Lights drive-thru light display at Community Park, off E. Temple Ave. The light display is open from 5 to 9 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and from 5 to 10 p.m. on Fridays & Saturdays, through New Year’s Day. Santa visits the lights each Saturday to hand out toys to little ones.
