Moline Man Charged With Arson After Setting Girlfriend’s Couch On Fire

Moline, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Arson charges have been filed in connection with a fire at a Moline apartment complex.

Investigators say sixty-one-year-old James Byars is charged with two counts of arson after he reportedly set his girlfriend’s couch on fire at the Enterprise Lofts on River Drive. No injuries were reported. Police say Byars told them he was going to kill his girlfriend when he got out of jail.
