HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital’s Wound Healing Center has once again been named a recipient of the Center of Distinction award by Healogics®, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services.
The Wound Healing Center has won this award every year since it opened in 2010, making them one of only two other Healogics centers nationwide to have won this award this many consecutive years.
The award was given for the Wound Healing Center’s outstanding clinical results for their patients this past year, including a patient satisfaction rate higher than 92%.
The team additionally were awarded Healogics’ prestigious Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Clinical Excellence Award.
This award recognizes that St. Anthony’s Wound Healing Center has scored in the top 10% of eligible Healogics centers on the Clinical Excellence measure, which is the comprehensive healing rate along all wound types. This mean St. Anthony’s Wound Healing Center has an excellent healing rate no matter what type of wound. This award is named for Dr. Robert A. Warriner III, a pioneer in wound care and the former Chief Medical Officer for Healogics.
Dr. Jeff Brummer, Medical Director of St. Anthony’s Wound Healing Center, expressed his appreciation for the center winning the Center of Distinction award repeatedly over the last 14 years. “It takes extraordinary dedication, commitment and talent to achieve this high degree of care year after year, which just shows you the exceptional providers and staff associated with St. Anthony’s Wound Healing Center,” Dr. Brummer said.
Ashley Dillingham, Director of the Wound Healing Center, shared, “We always appreciate being recognized for the work that we do, but what is more important is what it represents – all those we have helped heal from their wounds and the relationships we have built with them during their healing journey,” she said. “This is the place you want to be if you have a wound that just won’t heal. Our team truly care about their patients and through our advanced training and treatments, we are passionate about helping people heal and making a difference in their lives.”
St. Anthony’s Wound Healing Center is a member of the Healogics network of over 600 Wound Care Centers® and offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds.
The Wound Healing Center cares for people that have wounds that have not begun to heal in four weeks or have not completely healed in six weeks. Patients can be referred by a provider or can refer themselves by calling St. Anthony’s Wound Healing Center to make an appointment at 217-347-3565.
