Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center held a ribbon cutting for National Nursing Home Week, and also started their week-long celebration of “Radiant Memories,” a radio-themed tribute to the golden age of radio.
The week-long tribute starts today with Country Music Day. Country music will be playing in the building, and the food truck “Sweet Tea & Jesus” will be in front of the Rehab and Healthcare Center to serve sweet tea from 10am-2pm, with a musical performance today by the Prairieland Pickers at 2pm. Tuesday is “Rock-n-Roll Day,” with rock music playing and soda floats available for the staff. Wednesday is “Disco Music Day,” with the Mac-Daddy food truck making a visit from 11am-3pm. There will also be sno-cones available for staff members from 2pm-3pm.. Thursday celebrates Pop Music, with hamburgers and hot dogs being prepared for the staff. And Friday will be Jazz Day to end out the week, with “mocktails” available for staff members.
