Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Oakridge Cemetery was held at 10:30am today with a big crowd gathered to remember our fallen heroes.
Don Borries was MC, Commander of the American Legion Post 120.
The invocation was given by Father Dean Probst of Sacred Heart Church. Guest Speaker was Tim Hodge, Veteran, Retired State Police, and current leader of Area Scout Troops.
The ceremony concluded with the 21 gun salute led by Bill Copple, Sargeant at Arms. After the Ceremony at Oakridge, an additional ceremony was held at Woodlawn Cemetery.
