Jelly Roll Says His Marijuana Use “Has Kept Me Sober”

In a new interview with Taste of Country, Jelly Roll has revealed that smoking marijuana has helped him avoid abusing hard drugs and alcohol. In his checkered past, Jelly Roll has dealt drugs and served numerous stints behind bars. While the breakout country superstar is currently in a recovery program, he smokes marijuana to deal with his anxiety and control his addiction tendencies. “I get in trouble for this all the time, but my stance on marijuana will always be the same: I believe marijuana has helped me in so many regards, with my anxiety,” admits Jelly Roll. “This is a hot-button topic, but, truly, marijuana has kept me sober.” The singer says that without marijuana, he would be, “drinking codeine and popping Xanax and snorting cocaine.” (Entertainment Tonight)
